Adopters should familiarize themselves with the 3-3-3 Rule for Rescue dogs so that they can make their new dog's transition to their forever home as smooth as possible. It is important in the first 3 days after adoption to not expose the dog to a whole bunch of new people, but rather to allow them time to decompress and become familiar with their new home and the family members in it.
